When setting up your Google Places account it is critical to understand that there is no way to transfer this account to someone else. If you sell the business or have any other reason to want to transfer control of the account to another person, you will need to shut down the listing and start over unless you are willing to allow that person to have access to all of your other Google business and/or personal information. This means losing all of your reviews and citations. Obviously this could be a huge loss.

Therefore, DO NOT allow your marketing consultant, advertising agency, or any other outside company to create your listing in their account. They may wish to do this for convenience. You need to create this listing in YOUR Google Account. However, if you should move your marketing to another entity, they are not going to let you or that entity have access to their entire Google Account. So you will be forced to start over.

DO NOT use your personal Google Account or the Google Account of another business you own or control to create your listing. See the reasons above.

DO Create a brand new Google Account for each business that you own. This way you will be able to transfer control of the account to a new owner without losing any of the work that has gone into the creation of the account.

You should use this thinking with regard to all local search engine listings such as MerchantCircle, HotFrog, YellowPages.com, Yelp, Yahoo, Bing, and others.

After Facebook’s recent changes in their privacy policies, you need to take a few steps if you don’t want your Facebook bio, education & work, likes and interests data to be publicly shared online, as well as probably sold to behavioral targeting marketers.

1. Go to your Facebook page

2. Go to your “account”

3. Go to your “privacy settings”

4. Go to your “applications & websites”

About one fourth of all primary schools in England are Church of England schools. Most British citizens believe that receiving and education from a CE School is important for children to be able to learn and develop a sense of what is right and wrong. Individuals also believe that these students will receive a finer education and evolve into a responsible member of their society.

There are three different categories of schools located throughout England. The first one is called voluntary aided; the school is owned by the church and the governing body of the church handles all school operations from appointing teachers to raising money to aid in the repairs of school buildings.

The second category is the voluntary controlled, where the school is owned by the church and it appoints its own overseers. However, the school board is not totally loaded with church members, and the teachers are not appointed by the church board. Rather the teachers are hired by the local education authority who also oversees any repairs to school buildings as needed. The last type is the foundation, where a foundation owns the school and the foundations board employs the teachers and other staff and oversees all school operations.

The Church of England is also in the first throes of a major expansion project, hoping to open over 100 additional schools. Currently as of 2004 approximately 25 of these schools had been opened with another 15 of them almost completed. Because of the popularity of catholic education, such expansion is possible and needed to provide the education for British children across that country.

The admission policy in England is pretty straight forward. The board will admit students of all faiths provided there is not a shortage of available spaces in the school system. If there is a shortage, preference will be given to students who are, of course, from the catholic faith, and then to students who have excellent academic records, and go on from there. In some locations, scholarships are available to the families of students who excel in academics but cannot afford to pay for a private education.

There are some myths of catholic education. For example many individuals do not believe that catholic schools educate children on the topic of sexual education. In fact, there are requirements that this topic is taught as part of each school’s science curriculum. The catholic school system has also been accused of not wanting to educate children who are of different faiths. That too is a myth. Of course, the church believes in the religious education of all children, particularly the catholic faith. However, children of all faith are welcome to the system, as are children who express no faith at all.

The catholic way of education has been founded in history in the country of England, going back to the legendary kings of England who were the heads of the Catholic Church. The catholic education of England’s children remains a very popular educational system.

To start off, using MySpace as your means of advertisement is an excellent idea. MySpace attracts millions of visitors each hour; therefore, it is obvious how it will benefit you and your music. To obtain a few of those visitors and direct them to your own MySpace is a task. This task should be taken seriously and on point. Let’s begin to break everything into sections. There are four start key points to using MySpace to promote your music. (1) Be motivated & have patience. (2) Add as many “friends” as you can. (3) Take advantage of MySpace resources. (4) Attract and keep your visitors coming back.

(1) Be motivated & have patience. This step usually fails immediately with many people. Hoping to receive visitors out of the blue simply because you created a MySpace account is a dead end. As an artist or musician you need to be motivated. Motivated means to log in every day if possible, and try to convince people to listen to your music. Be extremely patient! Sometimes it takes a while for someone to finally comment you on your song. Sometimes it takes a while to convince people. Do not let your patience override you. In other words, do not spam MySpacers with your urge. This will only keep them away permanently.

(2) Add as many “friends” as you can. This does not mean you need to add your entire real neighborhood friends. Although yes, that will help immensely; nonetheless, “friends” is basically the title for adding “anyone.” This is only good when you are trying to promote your music. (Note: Do not add anyone if you’re simply a MySpace personal user) Moreover, you can do this free without having to pay someone to get you “400+ friends in a day.” Sure, it may help, but that’s the key to patience. To begin search for friend adder websites. A really good one is entitled Adder Demon. This is free and all you do is add a few friends and in turn more friends will add you. The more friends you have, the more opportunities there is of someone actually bumping into your profile and listening to your song! The more friends you have will also benefit you when directly sending bulletins or comments in regards to your new material.

(3) Take advantage of MySpace’s free resources. Use your bulletin, blogs, comments, blurbs, status, and messages wisely! Do not simply let them sit there with no use. These are free resources you can benefit from. As previously mentioned, do not spam your friends with information. Post it once or four times periodically throughout the day. Do not post continuously and “in there face” this will simply cause people to ignore you. You don’t need to spam people to get them to listen to you. All you do is spread your information around. They’re bound to bump into a link sometime. Create catchy titles that are within your news. Do not say “Open naked photos!” this will cause them to ignore you completely! Liars don’t get anywhere. Instead create good contests, sales, or give freebies. Example of a catchy title may be “Receive a free shirt!” Then you may elaborate more on who may get a free shirt, why, and how. You may even connect the freebies with your music. “Purchase an album and receive a custom-made shirt.” Hook them in & be creative!

(4) Attract and keep your visitors coming back. A bare MySpace will only get you visitors that are in the same position as you. Ever received those comments “listen to my song tell me what you think?” Isn’t that what you’re trying to get others to do? If you’re a beginner you may search for free layouts out there. However, these layouts will not really help in the long run. Keep in mind, a clutter/other artist’s pictures on your MySpace is not as attractive as you think. You want to be your own person. You want to represent yourself, not Lil Wayne or Fall Out Boy. While everything else that has been mentioned can be done free, a MySpace design is the most important and it can only be obtained in one way. If you’re not a custom MySpace designer you will need to hire one. Please be aware of the person you hire to design your layout. Life has a lot of rules, which is good because they give rulers something to do besides measure things. In the summer, people follow such important rules as “No running around the pool,” “No swimming in the ocean without a lifeguard” and “No accepting candy from a stranger unless the stranger says the candy is good.”  I’ve been noticing, however, that there are a lot of rules people should be following when it comes to Facebook, the social networking site that helps its users to connect with the people that sat behind them in math class (it’s about time, huh?).  Although there are probably hundreds of rules that Facebook users should follow, I have come up with just five to get everyone started…

1. Make sure no one else is in your profile photo unless you are definitely better looking and cooler than that other person or other people.  These lesser individuals will likely make you seem superior.  In these cases, assure that you are in the forefront so people know which one is you.  If the people in your profile picture are better looking, cooler or more sophisticated than you are, allow them to be in the forefront with the hope that people will think that one of those other people are you.  To avoid the complexity of this issue altogether, chose a profile picture that simply contains you eating a sandwich…

2. Posting the sad, depressing drama of your life — ie: “I’ve lost all hope,” “My life is pointless,” “My dog smells worse than everyone else’s dog,” etc. — as your status will not make you feel better.  It will only make everyone else feel better that they are not you.  If that’s your intention, good job: despite what you write as your status every minute, your life has a purpose after all…

3. Taking a Facebook quiz to find out what type of chair you would most like to sit on, what color paper is in your printer and what TV channel best suits your life is about as productive as trying to borrow a writing utensil from a squirrel (which is difficult, trust me).  If you want answers to these types of questions, why not, say, get up and experience the situations for yourself? “But wait,” you may be saying. “Some of these quizzes are important, like what celebrity I’m most likely going to marry or what character from ‘the Hills’ would most likely not want to maybe not have dinner with me.” Oh yeah, my bad…

4. Inevitably, the Facebook friends you least care about will be the most likely to dominate your news feed by posting photos of their lives every ten minutes.  Compensate by posting comments like, “Zzzz” and “Borrrrring” under each one.  Worse case scenario, you are de-friended. Good: less pictures on your feed means more room for quiz results…

5. Although the inclination may be to update Facebook regularly with notes of all your crazy goings-on, if you want people to truly think you lead an exciting life, don’t update your page at all.  That’s right, your life is so incredibly busy that you just don’t have time to be bogged down with social networking unless it involves catching a latte with a butterfly net.  If you decide to update, do so with your cell phone so that the mobile icon appears.  “Wow, this person leads such a cool life that he has no time to sit in front of a computer” is what I say about myself when I do this — and so far I’ve managed to believe myself, too…

I hope these five rules are enough to get people started.  Remember: if anything goes wrong, you have no one to blame but yourself…

In the summer, people follow such important rules as “No running around the pool,” “No swimming in the ocean without a lifeguard” and “No accepting candy from a stranger unless the stranger says the candy is good.”  I’ve been noticing, however, that there are a lot of rules people should be following when it comes to Facebook, the social networking site that helps its users to connect with the people that sat behind them in math class (it’s about time, huh?).  Although there are probably hundreds of rules that Facebook users should follow, I have come up with just five to get everyone started…

1. Make sure no one else is in your profile photo unless you are definitely better looking and cooler than that other person or other people.  These lesser individuals will likely make you seem superior.  In these cases, assure that you are in the forefront so people know which one is you.  If the people in your profile picture are better looking, cooler or more sophisticated than you are, allow them to be in the forefront with the hope that people will think that one of those other people are you.  To avoid the complexity of this issue altogether, chose a profile picture that simply contains you eating a sandwich…

2. Posting the sad, depressing drama of your life — ie: “I’ve lost all hope,” “My life is pointless,” “My dog smells worse than everyone else’s dog,” etc. — as your status will not make you feel better.  It will only make everyone else feel better that they are not you.  If that’s your intention, good job: despite what you write as your status every minute, your life has a purpose after all…

3.
