<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This article is about &#8220;Yoga website wordpress&#8221;, you can find here a huge variety of articles about &#8220;Yoga website wordpress&#8221;:</p>
<p>A website can serve as a double-edged sword when it comes to enhancing the image of your yoga business. In many cases your website is the first thing that your potential students see and in some cases it is the only representation of your business they will ever see &#8211; so quality is important. The image that your site presents and the perception it creates is critical. A website should serve three very important functions for your business.</p>
<p>1.	Source of Credibility: In today&#8217;s Yoga market a website has become an important representation of credibility. In the past many people would ask &#8216;if you have a website&#8217; and in today&#8217;s market it is often just assumed and the first question asked is &#8216;what is your website address?&#8217;. This means that there is an expectation that Yoga studios and teachers should have a website and any yoga business without one risks being perceived as unprofessional. There is a saying that you only have one chance to make a first impression and in today&#8217;s market your website is often the first point of contact a potential student has with your business. Opinions of your business based on your website are being formed instantly once a someone visits the site.</p>
<p>When it comes to a website, remember that &#8216;More is not better&#8217;. A simple, clean, informative website is very important. In order for a Yoga business to grow, a business owner needs to invest time, money and resources into it &#8211; and a professional website is a good place to start. Invest a little bit into your business by developing a professional website. Keep it simple, and not too flashy- make sure that it is updated regularly because as your Yoga business evolves your website and the content on it should evolve as well.</p>
<p>2.	Educational resource: Your website can be a great tool to keep your students updated on the changes in your business and your schedule. A website can replace hand-out materials, and with video and audio you can provide even more sophisticated educational elements. You can link to articles on the Internet, add your monthly newsletter, and incorporate pages on your site that are specifically dedicated to education. A good educational website becomes a marketing tool in itself because it shows students that you have their best interests in mind and you want to be a continuous resource for growth in the yoga industry</p>
<p>3.	Marketing Channel: Having a website and making sure your prospects can find it are completely different processes. Once a potential student arrives at your site the website needs to be designed well enough to do the job. If your site is not set up properly or if you don&#8217;t have the right message you could find those prospects fading away before they ever give you a chance to address any misconceptions or impressions they may have. Spending some time in the design-phase to do things right will help to ensure that you don&#8217;t waste the effort involved in attracting a prospect to your site. The first and most important concept is that your site is not designed to sell your service. Many website owners make the mistake of trying to convince their prospects that they can serve their needs with the content on the site. From a sales perspective, convincing a prospect of anything is the last step in the process and if the earlier steps of &#8216;getting their attention&#8217; and &#8216;developing interest&#8217; are not attended to, then prospects will rarely commit to your service.</p>
<p>A website is designed to get attention and in some cases begin the process of developing interest. You have approximately 15-30 seconds on average of someone&#8217;s attention once they hit the home page of your website. If you don&#8217;t say something that prompts them to do something or take action, in most cases you will loose them. It&#8217;s especially important on the home page that there is minimal text as to not overwhelm your prospective students with information and it should include an obvious call-to-action such as a prominent link to &#8216;Contact Us for more information&#8217; or a link to your schedule. If you are looking to develop a professional web presence, WebFlexor Yoga specializes in helping Yoga Teachers and Studios succeed on the Web.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This article is about &#8220;Wp gallery exif reader&#8221;, you can find here a huge variety of articles about &#8220;Wp gallery exif reader&#8221;:</p>
<p>Thankfully, this article will take care of a few of those questions for you. We&#8217;ve compiled a list of 24 plugins that you should take a look at. These plugins are all compatible up to Wordpress 2.7, and most of them have 1000 downloads or less-which means, chances are good you&#8217;ll be at the front of the trend.</p>
<p>These plugins are broken down into four categories: Those that make day-to-day blogging easier, those that will build your readership, those that will make you money, and those that are really just, well, bling for the blog. We&#8217;re certain that within this list, you&#8217;ll find at least a few plugins that will make your blog better.</p>
<p>So, without further ado, let&#8217;s get started!</p>
<p>Making Things Easier<br />
<br /><strong>Google Integration Toolkit</strong> &#8211; This nifty little plugin brings the power of Google website tools to your Wordpress blog. Once it&#8217;s installed, you can see how your site is indexed in Google, get detailed stats, earn money, and much more.</p>
<p><strong>Tweetbacks</strong> &#8211; If you&#8217;re like us, you like to know if people are discussing your blog. Maybe you even have a Google Alert set up for your name or your blog&#8217;s title. Tweetbacks allows you to find out right away if someone is twittering about your blog. Any tweets about your posts are imported as comments on your blog, ensuring that conversations are brought back where you can foster discussion (and get more pageviews!), which we think is pretty spiffy.</p>
<p><strong>WP-Optimize </strong>- is a database cleanup tool. It lets you manage databases without going to your blog&#8217;s cpanel or phpMyAdmin. This means you can delete comments, manage posts, or even change usernames.</p>
<p><strong>Real IP</strong> &#8211; Ever gotten comments from someone who&#8217;s behind a proxy or private IP? Never again. Real IP does exactly what it says: it corrects the comment&#8217;s address and shows you where they really are. Not only that, it does it with no special tweaking or settings-it just works right out of the box.</p>
<p><strong>Full Circle </strong>- If you&#8217;re like me, you make sure to announce your posts on your social networks like Facebook and Twitter. After all, what&#8217;s the point of new posts if no one knows about them? Full Circle automatically updates your Facebook and Twitter with your new posts, and also allows you to add links to a host of other social networks to the bottom of your updates. This means that your readers can share your posts with their social networks as well.</p>
<p><strong>Post to Post Links II</strong> &#8211; takes care of a nifty little problem most WP users have run into at least once-the loss of valid links between posts when the site structure is updated. Post to Post uses shortcode to link between posts, categories, pages, or even tags. The bottom line is, your links will always be valid-even if you update your permalink structure. Post to Post also works splendidly with the Koumpounophobia plugin. If you have that installed as well, you will get a button installed in the HTML editor that does the shortcodes for you.</p>
<p><strong>Twitter Links Plus+</strong> is another plugin used to integrate the wonder of Twitter and the awesome goodness of Wordpress. It looks for Twitter usernames mentioned in posts, pages and comments, and then converts that Twitter name to a link to their profile page. This means that if Sally123 comments on your blog and you reply @Sally123, Twitter Links will convert that to a link to Sally&#8217;s userpage on Twitter. Overall, it&#8217;s a nifty little tool, especially if you already see a lot of crossover between your blog and your Twitter account.</p>
<p><strong>WP Gallery EXIF Reader </strong>- For those with photoblogs, this could be the next &#8220;must-have&#8221; plugin. EXIF information, embedded inside images by the camera at the time of image creation, tells the viewer everything about how the camera was set at that precise moment. It&#8217;s a valuable tool for novice photographers and professionals alike. EXIF Reader takes that information from the image and displays it next to the photo-it&#8217;s that simple. It uses shortcode, and is specifically designed for users without access to the php_exif extension on their servers.</p>
<p><strong>Dynamic Headers</strong> &#8211; as its owner puts it, &#8220;fills a void that has been present for a while in Wordpress.&#8221; Small on code and fast in loading speed, Dynamic Headers does what it says-it allows you to specify header material on your blog, instead of just using whatever your theme offers. What makes this plugin so special, however, is that not only can you have any image file or even a Flash movie, but you can specify a different header for posts, pages, and your front page. Just remember, if you use Wordpress&#8217; automatic upgrade option, it will overwrite your custom headers. Backups are your friend!</p>
<p><strong>postMash</strong> &#8211; gives you the ultimate power: the ability to display your posts in whatever order you want. For those who have taken Wordpress to the next level and have a content management system (CMS), this plugin will be especially handy to have.</p>
<p><strong>Greg&#8217;s Comment Length Limiter</strong> &#8211; is a basic plugin with a single function. It sets a configurable limit on any comment&#8217;s length. Offering a character countdown for users that updates as they type, it keeps commenters abreast of how close they&#8217;re getting to the character limit.</p>
<p><strong>Tune Library -</strong> lets you import your XML iTunes Library into your Wordpress blog. What does this mean to you? It means you can post a listing of your entire music collection. Pretty spiffy, huh?</p>
<p>- Ever had a theme that you thought would be just perfect&#8230;IF it was a different color? Theme Tweaker lets you make those changes. It takes the current colors on your theme, and offers a color picker so that you can change anything you want. Preview options keep you from unveiling your creation before it&#8217;s perfect, and bulk options allow you to change the whole thing at once if you&#8217;d like. Thes best part? You can save the child theme without overwriting your master theme.</p>
<p><strong>Feed Reading Blogroll</strong> &#8211; is a neat plugin that improves your links list. By retrieving the date of the most recent feed-item of each bookmark, Google&#8217;s API calculates the item&#8217;s age and displays it in the sidebar.</p>
<p><strong>Sideposts Widget</strong> &#8211; puts a category of your choice in the sidebar, and only lets posts in that category show. Helpful for any number of things, from short observations to quick links, SidePosts is a great little addition to your plugin repository.</p>
<p>Build Your Readership<br />
<br /><strong>Add Users Sidebar Widget</strong> &#8211; This is a simple piece of code that allows your readers to add themselves to your blog user list. It bypasses the need for a separate register page, and capitalizes on &#8220;impulse users.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>Whisper Comment</strong> &#8211; controls comment visibility. While you as the site owner can view all comments, it lets users carry on conversations with each other as well that are &#8220;private&#8221; on the blog post.</p>
<p><strong>Meet Your Commenters</strong> uses the Google Social Graph API to display the profiles and web pages of your users on your dashboard. Especially useful for political bloggers, networkers, or hobby bloggers.</p>
<p><strong>OpenID</strong> &#8211; is all the rage. It gives users the opportunity to join websites while using the same username and password for them all. This plugin brings that functionality to Wordpress as well. It also allows users to convert their WP password to an OpenID, which means they can use their Wordpress ID anywhere OpenID is accepted.</p>
<p>works in tandem with the OpenID plugin, making it possible for people to not only use their OpenID to log in, but also their Yahoo, Flickr, Google, or other IDs as well.</p>
<p><strong>Comment Inbox</strong> &#8211; handles comments in a bit of a backwards way that actually seems to work quite well. Instead of keeping comments in a moderation queue so that they cannot be seen until you deal with them, Comment Inbox allows them to post on the blog until you decide differently. They show up in your &#8220;comment inbox&#8221; and you can choose what to do with them at that point. However, it still handles spam and &#8220;bacn&#8221; so that it never sees the light of day.</p>
<p><strong>Stumble! for Wordpress</strong> &#8211; increases your pageviews by using a capability similar to StumbleThru. It can either allow random post viewing, or integrate with Yet Another Related Posts Plugin to only offer related posts for users to &#8220;stumble&#8221; upon.</p>
<p><strong>User Community</strong> &#8211; lets you manage extended user profiles, sort userlists, and display them in various formats to give users a sense of community on your site.</p>
<p>Make Money<br />
<br /><strong>Amazon Machine Tags</strong> &#8211; helps you include Amazon items in your posts through the use of tags. It works with both Bunny&#8217;s Technorati Tags and Jerome&#8217;s Keywords to bring a seamless integration of Amazon items, along with using your associate ID to make sure you get paid for purchases your readers make.</p>
<p><strong>AdSense Now! &#8211; </strong>for Wordpress puts Google AdSense code in your pages while keeping in mind the Google Terms of Service. It has a simple interface, easy configuration, and does its job. What more could you ask for?</p>
<p><strong>Job Listing</strong> &#8211; our last-but-not-least entrant, gives you the ability to make money off a customizable job posting board. Part of an affiliate program, the plugin lets users filter jobs, apply for them, use templates, and much more. The best part is, it&#8217;s fully integrating with your site, and uses a sidebar widget to display in your blog proper.</p>
<p>While this is by no means an exhaustive list of the best plugins, it is definitely a list of plugins you need to take a look at. You might find them all to be fantastic, and you may only use one. But if even one of these plugins helps your blog, we&#8217;ve done our job!</p>

<p>New WordPress users and admins encounter similar problems quite regularly. What may seem obvious to a more experienced user can be very confusing if you&#8217;re completely new to this stuff, and it can be difficult to find good information on those issues that have a &#8220;simple&#8221; solution. Here are 4 common WordPress problems being asked about on Twitter and various forums.</p>
<p><strong>Step 1</strong></p>
<p>Most solutions can be summed up with the instruction &#8220;turn your plugins off and see if that fixes it&#8221; so from now on that will be known as &#8220;Step 1&#8243;.</p>
<p><strong>1. &#8220;All my posts just disappeared!&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>This is very scary, but try to remain calm while initializing Step 1. If a plugin-less blog is still insisting it has no posts, step 2 is to log into phpmyadmin and repair your posts table. That sounds really complicated but if your host has given you access to cpanel it&#8217;s easy.</p>
<p>Log into phpmyadmin, tick the box next to the troublesome table, and choose &#8220;repair&#8221; from the dropdown. Sorted. The table in question is usually named wp_posts.</p>
<p><strong>2. &#8220;My admin panel is broken, I can&#8217;t open the sliding menus or drag widgets around&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>This is usually caused by a badly-coded theme or plugin, so it&#8217;s mainly a case of finding out which is causing it.</p>
<p>Refer to Step 1.</p>
<p>If this works, it&#8217;s time to enable your plugins one by one until you find the culprit. If it didn&#8217;t work, try changing back to the original theme without re-enabling any plugins so you essentially have a clean slate.</p>
<p>If that still doesn&#8217;t work then it&#8217;s possible your WP files have just become corrupted, you can try re-uploading everything in wp-admin/js.</p>
<p><strong>3. &#8220;My images won&#8217;t display&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>Ok it&#8217;s less likely that Step 1 will work here, but try it anyway because you never know. This problem is usually referring to images that are shown on the homepage, or in a featured content area, rather than images within posts.</p>
<p>If Step 1 is unsuccessful you first need to find out how the images are being included in your page.</p>
<p>Find some unique text near to where the image should be showing up, and search for it in your page source (usually ctrl-u). Once you&#8217;ve found it, look for a nearby img tag and that is your failing image. If you see the word &#8220;timthumb&#8221; anywhere inside this tag, then your theme is using a very popular image resizing script. It will not work if the image you&#8217;re trying to display is externally hosted, that&#8217;s the first common cause.</p>
<p>Try copying everything in the image source, for example everything in bold here: <xmp><img src="<b>http://thingy.com/some/stuff/timthumb.php?src=http://thingy.com/blahblahblah.jpg</b>&#8220;</xmp> Paste that into your address bar in your browser and see what happens. If an image shows up, then I&#8217;m as stumped as you. If you&#8217;re met with a blank screen, try removing the image domain from the path, so my example would turn into: <xmp><b>http://thingy.com/some/stuff/timthumb.php?src=blahblahblah.jpg</b></xmp> &#8230;and see if that helps. If it does, you&#8217;ll either need to edit your template file to remove that domain or if you&#8217;re using custom fields to add the images, just edit it there.</p>
<p><em>Note:</em> If your theme is not using timthumb or any similar resizing script, and is instead using WP to resize the images, there&#8217;s not much that can be going wrong. Check your media library to be sure the image hasn&#8217;t been accidentally deleted.</p>
<p><strong>4. &#8220;There&#8217;s a weird link in my footer to something irrelevant and I can&#8217;t seem to get rid of it&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>Commonly caused by a natural desire to get something for nothing, it&#8217;s possible you&#8217;ve chosen a free theme with encoded spam links in the footer. I don&#8217;t want to alarm you here, but it&#8217;s even possible this is a pirated copy of a paid theme and you could end up being caught and asked to take it down. Before we get to that point, however, make a start on Step 1 as some plugins will also insert links down here. If this is the case, they often have an option to turn it off under their settings.</p>
<p>So Step 1 was unsuccessful? Open your theme&#8217;s footer.php and search for the link text. If you can&#8217;t see it, and especially if you see anything that looks like a long string of random letters and numbers, we have a worst case scenario. The best advice is to ditch that dodgy theme.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s worth noting, free theme users, that spam links can often be inserted without actually being obvious on your page. It&#8217;s always a good idea to check the footer.php of any free theme you download, since this is the most common place for such code (though it could be pretty much anywhere). Plenty of free themes are totally fine, but better safe than sorry.</p>

<p>One of the biggest advantages to WordPress is the easy to use theme system. This makes changing your blog or websites design a really easy task. Best of all, many themes are available for free of charge. The key is to learn how to use the theme system so you do not waste your time trying to figure out why your theme is not working.</p>
<p>If you want to apply a WordPress theme, the first step is making sure you have the theme installed. There are two different ways that a WordPress theme can be installed. The first option is to install it manually by uploading the theme folder to your themes directory. This requires some knowledge of FTP and web directories.</p>
<p>The second option is to use the build in theme uploader, which can be accessed from directly in the WordPress administration panel. To get started, just browser to the appearance section in WordPress and click on the themes section. One in here, you can just click on the add new theme button to get started. You can either search for a theme in the directory or choose the zip file you downloaded from somewhere else on the internet.</p>
<p>Regardless of the way you choose, WordPress will automatically install the theme for you and place it in the correct folder. Once this is done, you are then ready to apply the WordPress theme.</p>
<p>Guess what? Activating the theme is even easier than installing it! All you have to do is look at your installed themes and choose the one you want to use. Then just use the activate link to automatically apply any given them. Within a matter of seconds, your entire blog or website layout will completely change based on the theme you are using. Talk about an easy way to design websites!</p>
<p>So there is a quick overview on how to apply WordPress themes.</p>

<p>The Social Media slap, for those of you who don&#8217;t know what it is &#8211; basically since the beginning of 2008 Google has been really cranking down on websites that get all of their links from Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo and social bookmarking sites for example.</p>
<p>In the past, you could take an article, put it up on Squidoo and Hubpages and sites like that where you could publish content for free. On these sites you would include a link back to your site and that would in turn boost your rankings.</p>
<p>Then you could social bookmark your site to a hundred different social bookmarking sites, and just like that you would end up at the number one spot in Google, simply because you got so many links from sites with PageRank as high as 9.</p>
<p>When people starting abusing it, Google took notice and even went as far as penalizing sites that got all their links in this way.</p>
<p>Does this mean we should stop using Web 2.0 to build links?</p>
<p>Not at all.</p>
<p>In fact, when you combine it with a few other link building methods, it&#8217;s insanely powerful&#8230;</p>
<p>So what are some other ways you can use to build links?</p>
<p>There are two very simple ways I use almost every day in combination with my Web 2.0 strategies.</p>
<p>The irony of this is that these ways are actually under the &#8216;web 2.0&#8242; category as well &#8211; but Google doesn&#8217;t treat them that way!</p>
<p>1. The first one, is by commenting on blogs with the dofollow plugin enabled, so by leaving a helpful comment on blogs you can get links back from these websites.</p>
<p>2. The second one I use in exactly the same way as I use with building links through sites like Squidoo&#8230; It&#8217;s by using Wordpress MU sites! MU means multi-user and it&#8217;s basically a script you can install on your website that allows you to create new blogs&#8230; and you can create one of your own on all of the sites where people have installed WP MU.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This article is about &#8220;Wordpress newsletter plugin&#8221;, you can find here a huge variety of articles about &#8220;Wordpress newsletter plugin&#8221;:</p>
<p>The WordPress platform for blogging is probably the most popular for it&#8217;s ease of use and availability of multitude of themes and plugins available. Not to mention that it is totally free to use and unlike Blogger you keep total control of it&#8217;s hosting. You don&#8217;t have to fear that Blogger/Google will change the rules on you or even suspend your site.</p>
<p>Yes there are other platform like Joomla, Type Pad, Blogger and B2Evolution but if you aspire to be a serious blogger and to make a living blogging you should use WordPress.</p>
<p>One of the main reasons to use WordPress is the fact that Google loves bloggers and especially loves WordPress so it is easier to rank well with the search engines. For example you will want to include a Site Map, Privacy Policy, Terms Of Use etc and if you are an Internet Marketer, the first thing you will want to do is build a list of subscribers by installing an opt in form on your blog.</p>
<p>Just last week I had the chance to download, and test out a great plugin. It simply magnetizes your visitors into subscribing to your newsletter of opt in form in a very subtle way.</p>
<p>In my humble and neutral opinion it is one of the best plugin available to bloggers out there especially if your intentions are to blog for profit. It has a proven track record of building your email list at lightning speed by using the technology in some one-of-kind and unique way which is totally new and yet has an impact.</p>
<p>The options of adding your opt-in form all throughout your blog is available right out of the box and it really does lure your visitors to join your list, in an user friendly manner. The cool thing is that when your visitors are looking at your blog this plugin automatically fills the visitors&#8217; name/email in the opt-in form on your blog. There is no need for them to manually type in their name e and mail anymore. It&#8217;s all done for them. Cool no!</p>
<p>You could add your form in the sidebar of the blog, in the footer bar, within the post itself and even in the comments which is great. Furthermore, YOU decide of the look, feel, location and how your form behaves; and of course it works with AWeber, Get Response, and all the other major auto responders out there?</p>
<p>It is just too EASY to use; you don&#8217;t need to know any html coding or programming at all. The problem with this plugin is that it could attract the black hat guys that always like to cut corners with easy and rapidly implementable method and tricks.</p>
<p>However, for smart and ethical bloggers, the sign-up rate could actually triple overnight, without you intervening to increase the number of visitors to your blog site.</p>
<p>No need to battle to get more visitors when you can triple the conversion of your existing traffic. Isn&#8217;t this fantastic!</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re all for optimization, we can bet on it that you&#8217;re going to really appreciate this amazing plugin &#8211; guaranteed! It&#8217;s creator Pawan Agrawal has outdone himself with this one.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This article is about &#8220;Wordpress xml sitemap generator XML Parsing Error: no element found&#8221;, you can find here a huge variety of articles about &#8220;Wordpress xml sitemap generator XML Parsing Error: no element found&#8221;:</p>
<p>The basic principle of every search engine optimization is to create content and make it indexed hoping for top positions in search results. Main activities are focused on only one search engine&#8211;Google. The reason is very simple&#8211;it has the biggest market share. While there are many rules for what should be included on the page and how to promote websites, there is absolutely no guarantee that every page of our website will be indexed. And if some page is not indexed it can not be present in search results. In principle, there are two methods to check pages that are included in the index. Both methods are useful for quick check and basic information about our sites.</p>
<p>The first method is a simple search with the &#8220;site:&#8221; operator. This way we can check any domain or page to see if it is included in the search engine&#8217;s index. The advantage of this method is that we can actually see which pages are included. It is also pretty simple to count all indexed pages, unless the number is not very high. On each page with results Google displays an estimation of the total number of pages that match the search criteria. The only drawback of this method is that each time we have to manually search for every website. If we would like to monitor sites on a regular basis then this is not a good approach.</p>
<p>The second method is more automatic. Most search engines allow us to submit a sitemap file. This file lists all pages that we would like to submit to search engines. In some cases there are pages that are not discovered by spiders or crawlers and sitemap files provide an elegant way to submit pages for crawling and indexing. The format of the file is very simple, for small sites it can even be created manually with a simple editor like Notepad. This is an XML file with a simple structure and there are many tools around for creating and validating sitemap files. Most popular content management systems like Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal have extensions that can automatically create sitemap files.</p>
<p>Once you have a sitemap file you can submit it to the search engine. Google Webmaster Tools is a place where you can add as many files as needed. Yahoo and Bing also provide similar tools for sitemap files. Once the file is added it will be downloaded and at some appropriate time also analyzed. During regular crawling processes the links listed in the file will be visited and if possible also indexed. For each submitted file Google displays the number of indexed pages. This is a very important indicator of the quality of our website. If everything listed in the sitemap file is not indexed than this is not a big problem. Standard pages like About us, Contact us or Privacy policy have little value and many times are not included in the index. However, if we see that, for example, one third of submitted pages are not indexed then we need to find the cause and act accordingly.</p>
<p>Submitting a sitemap is one of the simple search engine optimization tools that can give us valuable information about our website. In general, the most common reason for not including pages in the index is poor or duplicate content.</p>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
<tr>
<td valign="top">
<p>The author submits sitemaps even for small sites like the <a target="_new" href="http://hydronicfloorheating.org/">http://hydronicfloorheating.org/</a> website. By simply visiting Google Webmaster Tools you can easily monitor the crawling and indexing process. Currently, for this website there is only one page worth indexing, the <a target="_new" href="http://hydronicfloorheating.org/">Hydronic floor heating</a> homepage. The number of actually indexed pages confirms this conclusion.</p>
<p>Webmaster Tools provide also other useful information about our website like top search queries, links to our site, crawl errors, keywords, etc. If you are serious about SEO then you should use it and submit a sitemap file for every website you own.</p>

<p>Great Googly! You want WordPress plugins that work well with Google? You are in luck because there are some great WordPress plugins that do a variety of tasks that also play well with Google. Some of these actually help your website get a better ranking with Google.</p>
<p><strong>Google XML Sitemaps</strong></p>
<p>This plugin generates a special XML sitemap for your WordPress site. A sitemap will help the search engine spiders index your website. Meaning spiders can see your website structure completely and retrieve it more efficiently. Every time you create a post, search engines are notified of new content. Search Engines will also rate your site better the better they can read it.</p>
<p><strong>Google Analyticator</strong></p>
<p>Easily adds Google Analytics tracking code to the pages of your blog. This allows users to track all outgoing links or downloads. You can see information from the last 30 days about your visitors, such as the top pages visited, the referrer and top searches. It also hides your visits thus your administrator visits to do not affect the numbers.</p>
<p><strong>Google AJAX Translation</strong></p>
<p>Being online means people around the world can visit your website. Google AJAX Translation plugin allows your blog to be translated into a variety of languages. Visitors to your site can read posts, pages even comments translated into one of the 52 languages available. You are able to choose to display all 52 or just a few languages.</p>
<p><strong>Advertising Manager</strong></p>
<p>Rather than manually adding Google ad code to your blog, you can add Adsense to your posts with a click of the button. Manage and rotate your Google Adsense and other advertisements with this one simple plugin. This plugin actually works across several ad networks so you are not limited to only Google.</p>
<p><strong>MapPress Easy Google Maps</strong></p>
<p>If you have a business or you just need your readers to know where something is a map is the best way to explain a location. With MapPress, it easily adds Google Maps to your blog or blog post. You can add markers to locations and readers can quickly get driving directions. Both you and your readers can choose from street, satellite or hybrid.</p>
<p><strong>Google Calendar Widget</strong></p>
<p>While WordPress comes with a calendar widget, Google Calendar Widget is actually a plugin that works as a sidebar widget. You can set up it up with URL of a calender feed you want to show.</p>
<p><strong>Google Doc Embedder</strong></p>
<p>Embed PDF files, PowerPoint presentations, and Tiff Images with Google Doc Embedder. Similar programs require your visitor to have Adobe Reader, PowerPoint and other programs this allows visitors to read directly. Your documents or files do not have to be on Google Documents to work with this plugin.</p>
<p><strong>Use Google Libraries</strong></p>
<p>Google&#8217;s AJAX Libraries API has a number of Javascript libraries that WordPress can host. With this plugin it decreases the load on your server, by allowing visitors to use the files cached on their computer via Google, rather than use files from your WordPress. It also uses compressed versions for faster loading.</p>
<p><strong>Other Google Plugins</strong></p>
<p>The number of WordPress plugins are growing daily. Google is producing new products regularly. So the list of Google related WordPress Plugins will continue to grow. It is always best to be logged into your WordPress back office to see if the plugins will work with your edition of WordPress, then visit WordPress.org and look for their plugin directory.</p>

<p>I. Overview of Topic</p>
<p>How to blog is a question on many people&#8217;s minds these days. Blogging has taken the world by storm. Since 2004, when it first made its appearance, this popular medium of having your own little corner of the world to express yourself has turned into a veritable deluge. Today there are more than 120 million blogs that are currently tracked by the Tecnorati blog search engine. No wonder then, that owning and maintaining a blog has become almost a fashion statement, especially in the U.S.</p>
<p>When first embarking on a blogging journey, there are some knotty questions that usually beset one&#8217;s mind regarding how to blog. Let&#8217;s start with the basics.</p>
<p>What kinds of topics can be the subjects of blogs?</p>
<p>Just about anything. Simply put, a blog is an online personal diary on just about any topic you care to write about, ranging from politics to sports and fitness to religion, health, freelancing, literature, or whatever suits your fancy. But picking a subject you have solid experience in will enable you to write meaningful content that will pull in an audience for your blog. Without an audience you&#8217;ll soon tire of your blog and it will join the millions of abandoned blogs lost in cyberspace.</p>
<p>How are blogs categorized in blog search engines?</p>
<p>Blog search engines like Technorati and IceRocket categorize them by subject. The most general categorization, though, is personal vs. business-oriented blogs. Yours will probably fit into the former of these categories.</p>
<p>Are blogs only text or can they have other features as well?</p>
<p>Though basically consisting of text, many blog users make their web pages more attractive by adding pictures, audio and video files.</p>
<p>How can I make my blog easy to navigate and attractive to readers?</p>
<p>A successful blog usually follows a clear simple format with its articles plainly delineated, archives (in a sidebar), and a place at the bottom for visitors to leave comments. Some also include blogrolls, which are just lists of links to other similar blogs. The best bloggers are usually people who are able to connect with their visitors&#8217; emotions, by means of artistic expression in many cases. To learn how to blog with the winners your number one teacher is other blogs &#8211; read and study a lot of them before starting your own. A good place to research blogs on your topic is Icerocket.com.</p>
<p>What are some tips for setting up a blog?</p>
<p>- First, remember your blog is a reflection of your personality. Pick a theme or a topic close to your heart or one you know something about. Correction, one you know a lot about.</p>
<p>- Be consistent. If you want your blog to get really popular you need to connect with your visitors on a regular, predictable schedule. Plan on publishing at least twice a week. If that sounds like too much work, once a week is the absolute lowest you can go, say blog gurus.</p>
<p>- Connect/network. Connect with other blog writers by leaving comments on their posts and by providing links to their blogs on your website. This kind of networking will do wonders for your traffic.</p>
<p>- Keep it simple. Don&#8217;t clutter up your blog with meaningless details. Select a simple clean appealing design. Use fonts and colors which increase text visibility. Add videos, audios, photographs and music files only if these make your blog more attractive and/or useful.</p>
<p>- Don&#8217;t stick your neck out &#8211; or not too far anyway. Blogs can get opinionated, which is fine, but don&#8217;t put yourself at risk of a heavy-duty defamation suit. It&#8217;s fine to express your opinions &#8211; so long as you make it clear they&#8217;re just that, your opinions &#8212; and always be sure that your blog is not defaming somebody, divulging sensitive information, or giving away corporate secrets.</p>
<p>Okay, I get the feel about how to blog. Now where do I go from here?</p>
<p>To get started, you first need to select suitable weblog software. This is necessary in order to create and manage your blog. There&#8217;s quite an assortment of blogging software out there. Some offer ease of design and development while other programs offer more elaborate features, for example, allowing you to add discussion forums, message boards etc. Some weblogs can be downloaded and installed directly on your system. Freeware and open source software are available, though these programs are not as feature-rich as some of the paid proprietary software. Here&#8217;s a rundown of the most popular blogging software:</p>
<p>Wordpress</p>
<p>Wordpress is the number one blog publishing software. Why? &#8212; because it&#8217;s freeware, easy to install, and has a minimal learning curve. Its extensive documentation and step-by-step installation guide make it a cakewalk even for a novice user. Among its most salient features are &#8211;</p>
<p>Easy installation &#8211; Even a newbie can get Wordpress up and going in 5 minutes. Moreover, web pages are generated dynamically by using thousands of built-in templates thereby greatly reducing your time and effort.</p>
<p>User Management &#8211; Restricts access to users while you&#8217;re making modifications in your weblog. So in effect you have separate access for readers and administrative users.</p>
<p>Saves precious bandwidth through its Gzip feature, which reduces blog transmission size.</p>
<p>Enables you to place RSS feeds into your blogs and also aids in inter-blog communication by providing features like pingback and trackback.</p>
<p>Comes with lots of plugins making it possible for you to incorporate any feature you want. You can also integrate Wordpress with Akismet, a popular anti-spam software program used to protect blogs from spammers.</p>
<p>Other useful features include a database of visitors, capability to save previous drafts, blog previews, and easy formatting.</p>
<p>Want to see some popular blogs that use Wordpress. Two to start with are: Ilovetypography and Problogger.</p>
<p>OTHER WEBLOG SOFTWARE</p>
<p>Typepad</p>
<p>Created and owned by Six Apart Limited, Typepad is a blog hosting website currently used by many large organizations in the US, such as Sky News, BBC, and MSNBC for hosting their weblogs. Launched in October 2003, Typepad today can boast that it&#8217;s the number one paid blogging service worldwide. Available in multiple languages in different parts of the world, users have three different subscription options: $4.50/month for a basic subscription to $14.50/month for the pro edition. Among its features: The software enables you to associate each article in your blog with a URL, and easy uploading and sharing photo albums from multiple authors have made this a vox populi among professional bloggers. So if writing is your passion and you want to make it a profession, you can start by signing up for Typepad.</p>
<p>Movable Type</p>
<p>The first blogging system developed by Six Apart Limited in 2001, Movable Type hosts some of the world&#8217;s top blogs, such as Huffington Post and Boing Boing. Developed using Perl, Movable Type supports LDAP protocol for efficient user management and automatic provisioning of blogs. This blogging system is extremely useful if you want to run multiple blogs using a single installation. The system is enriched with all possible features you could possibly think of, such as a customizable template library, ability to create categories and sub categories of articles, efficient user management directory servers and hordes of independent plugins that can be used to support different services, like creating discussion forums. This blogging system is an attractive choice if you have a technical bent.</p>
<p>Text Pattern</p>
<p>Developed by Dean Allen as an open source content management system, this is one of the simplest blogging systems available today. The most useful feature of Text Pattern is textile that helps in converting simple text documents into stylish HTML web pages using built-in style sheets. Text Pattern has a built-in CSS editor that simplifies the task of changing your web site&#8217;s designs, fonts, position of the text and the background color. You can also password-protect certain sections of your blogs and keep regular track of visitors and their comments. The date and time stamp of each article is adjustable and you can save drafts of your blogs for future publication. What makes it most attractive is that Text Pattern provides a built-in search engine and the users can also link XML feeds into their blogs. The simplicity of Text Pattern is its USP. For most beginners choosing this service is almost a nobrainer.</p>
<p>Blogger</p>
<p>Developed by Pyra Systems and bought by Google in 2003, Blogger is one of the most popular blogging systems to date. Google subsequently acquired Picasa in 2004 and integrated the latter&#8217;s photo sharing feature &#8216;Hello&#8217; into Blogger. Alexa ranks Blogger as the 9th most visited site worldwide, indicating its enormous popularity. Blogger offers multiple author support allowing the user to create group blogs. Bloggers can even earn revenue from Google AdSense by integrating it into their blogs. Another interesting feature provided by Blogger is a free add-in for Microsoft Word called &#8220;Blogger for Word&#8221; that helps blog users save their blogs directly in Blogger from their Word document. Bloggers can also customize their blog templates as per personal preferences. For users having a Google email account, it is a pretty simple matter to link to Blogger and then start writing and maybe earning some extra income.</p>
<p>In addition to the above five blogging systems there are a number of up-and-coming lesser-known blog systems which include all the aforementioned features but don&#8217;t require any plugins for extending their feature list. Some of the best of these second-line blogging systems are:</p>
<p>Habari</p>
<p>Habari, meaning &#8216;news&#8217; in Swahili, is one of the most promising new blogging platforms and one of the finalists in the &#8216;Best New Projects in 2008&#8242; Sourceforge Community Choice Award. Habari allows the user to launch multiple blogs using a single installation, supports multiple writers and has a modular structure for easy extendibility. All these features will make Habari a formidable competitor in blog publishing.</p>
<p>Symphony</p>
<p>Created for ultra-serious bloggers, Symphony has been developed in XML and XSLT. This is a blogging system for web developers and has an MVC architecture which gives the blogger full control over their website. An extremely versatile system, Symphony can be customized to a high level making it popular among bloggers who want to keep a tight grip on all aspects of their website.</p>
<p>Pixie</p>
<p>Positioning itself as a small, simple website maker, Pixie is also a great blogging platform for all of you who are new to the world of blogging. Ease of installation, lots of creative CSS themes, search engine optimized clean URLs for your website, spam protection, a file manager which supports tags for easy sorting of files and a small memory requirement of just 1 MB are some of the features which explain<br />
<br />Pixie&#8217;s fast-rising popularity.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s it, our ten minutes are up (okay, maybe eleven or twelve). Below are additional resources on How to Blog.</p>
<p>II. FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</p>
<p>Following are additional research resources on &#8220;How to Blog.&#8221;</p>
<p>Tumblr</p>
<p>Tumblr is a popular micro-blogging site where users create and share small posts of about 140 words or less. What makes these micro-blogs, popularly known as tumblelogs, all the rage is their ease of customization and the freedom they provide for posting everything from photos to quotes, to emails, and even links. Moreover, signing up for Tumblr really does take only about 10 seconds. More and more people are attracted to micro-blogging due to its capability for posting short, incisive and hopefully witty messages about the poster&#8217;s latest doings, inventions, discoveries, observations, misadventures, etc. Tumblelogs even make it possible for people to post their art works and music audios and videos for public viewing.</p>
<p>Clubmom</p>
<p>If you are a homemaker who loves sharing recipes, health tips, beauty secrets and child care advice and also love getting similar words of wisdom from others, Clubmom is the place for you. It&#8217;s a blogging site/forum where moms can meet and share their experiences while at the same time having a chance at winning exciting gifts. From family anecdotes to home remedies, careers to kids, this is a bonding place for moms of all age groups. Joining Clubmom means connecting with individuals at a personal level and sharing information which benefits all.</p>

<p>One week-end, I endeavoured to install <b>LDAP</b> on my server with a hope it would help me keep my contacts synchronized between work and home, computers and phones. I decided to go for the MySQL storage since I already <b>have</b> such a DB running. &#8230; Maybe <b>you</b> will hit the following bug: /usr/include/mysql/my_global.h:318:24: error: asm/atomic.h: <b>No</b> such file or directory. My solution was to comment out the #include in /usr/include/mysql/my_global.h. Installing <b>LDAP</b> &#8230;</p>

<p>When Office To-Go takes over WordPress website maintenance or a new project, we employ these security measures and recommendations.</p>
<p>1. Keep headers/logos under 125 pixels high. It takes up valuable viewing space, especially for laptop users, that is best left for the good stuff to appear &#8220;above the fold.&#8221; Take a cue from the big companies, simple logos done well say it all. This is our #1 pet peeve &#8211; screaming logos and headers!</p>
<p>2. Use STRONG passwords of 10 or more characters and DO NOT use &#8220;admin&#8221; for a username. Create a new user profile assigned to the administrator role, log back in with the new user profile and DELETE the admin file. It can&#8217;t be said strongly enough: use strong passwords for WordPress and any other site which requires passwords. Use an online password generator.</p>
<p>3. BACK UP your site regularly and keep a copy on your computer and off-site storage. If you have a very active site, back up daily. You spend a lot of time and money on your website, don&#8217;t skip this! The one complete solution that does it all is BackupBuddy, no other plug-ins back up your files, widgets, plugins and database. Need to move your site to another host, this will do it in less than a few minutes!</p>
<p>4. Select your plugins wisely, too many will slow down your site. Badly coded plugins are a hacker&#8217;s back door into your website.</p>
<p>5. Install the WordPress Firewall Plugin. This plugin investigates web requests with simple WordPress-specific heuristics to identify and stop most obvious attacks.</p>
<p>6. Move your configuration file one level above the root directory of your server (if you&#8217;re running WP in the root directory of your site as opposed to yourdomain.com/blog subfolder).</p>
<p>7. Do not use wp_ as a prefix for your databases. Most web hosting companies are eliminating that default now but if yours does not, change wp_ to anything else but that.</p>
<p>8. Install Secure WordPress plugin.</p>
<p>9. Install an anti-spam plugin such as WP-SpamFree.</p>
<p>10. Rewrite your .htaccess file to lock down your wp-admin directory by IP addresses. Add the following code to your file, replacing xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with your IP address:</p>
<p>AuthUserFile /dev/null<br />
<br />AuthGroupFile /dev/null<br />
<br />AuthName &#8220;Access Control&#8221;<br />
<br />AuthType Basic<br />
<br />order deny,allow<br />
<br />deny from all<br />
<br />#IP address to Whitelist<br />
<br />allow from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx</p>
